I’m not a fryer,we grill a lot, I love my george foreman grill and use it constantly, its quick cooking and easy clean up. I also have a Delongi Panani Grill that gets a lot of use in my house.
Knives my most used are my chicago cultry bread knife, use it for a lot more than bread, love to cut tomatoes with it, That and my pampered chef two dollar paring knife are the most used in my kitchen.
Cutting boards, we dont use wood, due to the salmonella issues, mostly plastic. I do have a long skinny wood cutting board with deep groves, dont know who made it, but I use it constantly for bread especially with paninis.
Food processors: Up until about a week ago I only had a tiny black and decker chopper and had it ten plus years and use it ever time I cook. For onions, carrots, nuts, celery, crackers, salsa….it was perfect. But it finally failed because we started makeing humis and it was just too much. We decided to toss it and got a large hamilton beach food processor and so far love it. With essentials in my pantry, and a quick shopping list, everything I can, I cook and buy in bulk.
Since we have kids essential are peanut butter and jelly, pasta, soup mix, mac and cheese, canned fruit and vegetables and cereals.
Ive just redone my kitchen and keeping it organized became real important to me.
I bougt a Brother P-Touch labeler and it is now my best friend. I labeled my food cupboards so kids put things back rights and drawers so who ever empties the dishwasher does it right. Sounds bad and is a little embarassing, but it had saved so much time and aggravation.
I kept moving things in my kitchen as I cooked and figured where it would be best kept, then when i figured it out the labeler, Seriously my labeler has changed my life to almost organized- I label alot-kids drawers-the best they put things away right. I label all cords that come wiht anything, I label files, and shelves-everything. It is the single most helpful thing I have done to be clean and organized.
So my 3 items: labeler, small food processor, and the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser love those things.
AS for cleaning my house, I keep everything I need to clean a space in that space, under the cabinets, hidden on the side of the toilet, etc… I have a toliet brush in each bathroom, who wants to carry that across the house??
The two helpers I wouldn’t want to be without is my swifter mop and my Bissle Green machine carpet cleaner, love and use them both alot. Besides that spot shot carpet cleaner is amazing-it only not gotten one spot from my carpet.
