Chicken Souvlaki

Ingredients

  • 800 g chicken breast
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 8 whole wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes
  2. Cut chicken breast into 3cm cubes
  3. Combine lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper
  4. Marinate chicken for at least 2 hours
  5. Dice onion into chunks
  6. Thread chicken and onion onto skewers, alternating
  7. Grill over medium-high heat for 12-15 minutes, turning every 3 minutes
  8. Chicken should be cooked through and slightly charred
  9. Serve with rice, grilled vegetables, and tzatziki sauce
