Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken thighs
- 2 whole potatoes
- 1 whole carrots
- 1 whole onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp gochugaru
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cups water
- 3 stalks scallions
Instructions
- Cut chicken into pieces
- Cut potatoes, carrots, and onion into chunks
- Mince garlic
- Heat vegetable oil in pot
- Brown chicken pieces
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute
- Add gochujang and gochugaru, cook 1 minute
- Add water and bring to boil
- Add potatoes, carrots, and onion
- Simmer covered for 30 minutes
- Add soy sauce and sugar
- Simmer 10 more minutes
- Drizzle with sesame oil
- Serve hot with scallions
