Inside-Out Sushi Roll (Uramaki)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 sheets nori sheets
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 6 oz imitation crab
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp wasabi
  • 2 tbsp pickled ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare sushi rice as above
  2. Place nori on bamboo mat
  3. Spread thin layer of rice on nori
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on rice
  5. Flip nori so rice is on outside
  6. Layer crab, cucumber, and avocado in center
  7. Roll tightly using mat
  8. Slice into 8 pieces with wet knife
  9. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger
