Ingredients

  • 600 g ground lamb
  • 1 large onion
  • 50 g parsley
  • 25 g mint
  • 50 g bread crumbs
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onion, parsley, and mint
  2. Combine ground lamb with chopped vegetables, bread crumbs, and egg
  3. Add cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper
  4. Mix thoroughly until mixture is sticky and holds together
  5. Shape into oblong patties or mold onto skewers
  6. Brush with olive oil and grill over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes per side
  7. Meat should be cooked through with slightly charred exterior
  8. Serve in pita with salad, yogurt sauce, and grilled onions
