Ingredients
- 600 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g instant yeast
- 300 ml warm milk
- 3 whole egg
- 150 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 150 g raisin
- 100 g candied fruit
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 whole egg yolk
Instructions
- Mix yeast with warm milk and 1 tbsp sugar, let sit 10 minutes
- Combine flour and salt
- Beat eggs with remaining sugar until pale, add butter gradually
- Combine yeast mixture with egg mixture
- Add flour gradually, knead until smooth and elastic
- Add raisins, candied fruit, and vanilla
- Place in oiled bowl, cover, let rise 2 hours until doubled
- Divide between two loaf pans, let rise 1 hour
- Brush top with egg yolk, bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes
- Cool on rack before serving
