Maki Tempura Roll

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 sheets nori sheets
  • 4 pieces shrimp tempura
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp spicy mayo
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp wasabi

Instructions

  1. Prepare sushi rice with vinegar, sugar, and salt
  2. Place nori on bamboo mat
  3. Spread rice on nori
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on rice
  5. Flip nori so rice is on outside
  6. Layer tempura shrimp, cucumber, and avocado in center
  7. Spread spicy mayo on shrimp
  8. Roll tightly using mat
  9. Slice into 8 pieces with wet knife
  10. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi
