Makizushi (Boston Roll)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 sheets nori sheets
  • 6 oz imitation crab
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 0.5 whole cucumber
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp wasabi
  • 2 tbsp pickled ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare sushi rice with vinegar, sugar, and salt
  2. Place nori on bamboo mat
  3. Spread thin layer of rice on nori
  4. Arrange imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber in center
  5. Add small amount of mayo
  6. Roll tightly using mat
  7. Sprinkle outside with sesame seeds
  8. Slice into 8 pieces with wet knife
  9. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger
