Ingredients
- 2 cups makki ka atta (corn flour)
- 0.5 cup wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 0.75-1 cup warm water
- Ghee or butter for serving
Instructions
- Mix makki ka atta, wheat flour, salt and sugar in a bowl
- Add oil and rub into flour
- Gradually add warm water, mixing and kneading into a soft dough
- Knead 5-7 minutes until smooth
- Cover and rest 10-15 minutes
- Divide into 8 equal balls
- Oil a piece of plastic wrap or cloth
- Place ball on oiled surface, flatten and roll between plastic till thin
- Remove plastic carefully and transfer to hot tawa
- Cook on medium-high, when slight browning appears, flip
- Add ghee around edges and on top
- When brown spots appear, flip again
- Press gently with spatula and cook till crisp
- Serve hot with sarson da saag or any curry
