Ingredients
- 400 g pasta
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 60 g butter
- 60 g flour
- 750 ml milk
- 150 g parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside
- Sauté diced onion and garlic in olive oil until soft
- Add ground beef, cook until browned, add tomato paste and cinnamon
- Simmer beef sauce for 10-15 minutes, season with salt and pepper
- Make béchamel: melt butter, whisk in flour, gradually add milk while stirring
- Cook béchamel until thick, season with salt, pepper, and half the parmesan
- Mix cooked pasta with beef sauce, spread in 9x13 baking pan
- Pour béchamel evenly over pasta layer
- Sprinkle remaining parmesan on top, bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes until golden
