Pierogi

Ingredients

  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 whole egg
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 300 g potato
  • 100 g caramelized onion
  • 100 g cheese (cheddar)
  • 50 g butter
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Make dough: combine flour, egg, sour cream, and salt, knead until smooth
  2. Wrap and rest for 30 minutes
  3. Make filling: boil and mash potatoes, mix with grated cheese and caramelized onion, season with salt and pepper
  4. Roll dough thin, cut into 7cm circles
  5. Place 1 tbsp filling in center, fold into semicircle and seal edges
  6. Boil pierogi in salted water until they float, then cook 1-2 more minutes
  7. Serve with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and dollop of sour cream
