Ingredients
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 whole egg
- 100 g sour cream
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 300 g potato
- 100 g caramelized onion
- 100 g cheese (cheddar)
- 50 g butter
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Make dough: combine flour, egg, sour cream, and salt, knead until smooth
- Wrap and rest for 30 minutes
- Make filling: boil and mash potatoes, mix with grated cheese and caramelized onion, season with salt and pepper
- Roll dough thin, cut into 7cm circles
- Place 1 tbsp filling in center, fold into semicircle and seal edges
- Boil pierogi in salted water until they float, then cook 1-2 more minutes
- Serve with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and dollop of sour cream
