Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp sahlep powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 30 g pistachios

Instructions

  1. Mix sahlep powder with 100ml milk to form smooth paste
  2. Heat remaining milk with sugar to just below boiling
  3. Slowly add sahlep paste to hot milk, stirring constantly
  4. Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold milk to prevent lumps
  5. Add cornstarch mixture, continue stirring until thick and creamy
  6. Pour into serving cups
  7. Top with cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pistachios
  8. Serve hot as warming winter drink
