Sour Cherry Soup (Hungarian)

Ingredients
- 400 g sour cherry
- 1000 ml water
- 100 g sugar
- 200 g sour cream
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- 2 whole clove
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 50 ml water
- 0.25 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves in pot
- Bring to boil, add sour cherries
- Simmer for 15 minutes until cherries are soft
- Mix cornstarch with 50ml water to make slurry
- Stir slurry into soup to thicken slightly
- Remove from heat and cool slightly
- Whisk in sour cream until smooth (don't boil after adding)
- Season with salt
- Serve chilled or warm as dessert soup
