Ingredients
- 800 g beef sirloin
- 3 medium onion
- 300 g mushrooms
- 300 g sour cream
- 400 ml beef broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tsp mustard powder
Instructions
- Cut beef into thin strips about 3cm long
- Thinly slice onions and mushrooms
- Melt butter in large skillet over high heat
- Brown beef strips in batches, don't overcrowd, set aside
- In same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until golden
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir for 1 minute
- Add beef broth, tomato paste, paprika, and mustard powder
- Return beef to skillet, reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream (don't boil after adding sour cream)
- Season with salt and pepper
- Serve over egg noodles or rice
