Tabbouleh (Turkish Version)

Ingredients

  • 150 g bulgur wheat
  • 250 ml hot water
  • 100 g parsley
  • 50 g mint
  • 3 medium tomato
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pour hot water over bulgur, cover, rest 20 minutes
  2. Fluff with fork, cool to room temperature
  3. Finely chop parsley and mint
  4. Dice tomato and onion
  5. Combine bulgur with herbs and vegetables
  6. Whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper
  7. Toss salad with dressing, chill for 1 hour
  8. Serve with pita bread
