Ingredients
- 1 kg bone-in, skinless chicken pieces
- 1 cup thick yogurt
- 3 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.5 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 0.5 tsp cumin powder
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Make shallow cuts in chicken pieces
- Mix yogurt with ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and all spices
- Marinate chicken for at least 12-24 hours in refrigerator
- Preheat oven to 200°C or prepare tandoor/grill
- Thread marinated chicken onto skewers
- Grill in tandoor or oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway
- Chicken should be cooked through with charred spots
- Optional: brush with oil and finish under high heat for char marks
- Serve hot with lemon wedges, onions, and mint chutney
