Tteokbokki (Rice Cakes in Spicy Sauce)

Ingredients
- 2 lbs rice cakes (tteok)
- 4 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 cups water
- 8 oz fish cakes
- 2 stalks green onions
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Soak rice cakes in warm water for 10 minutes
- Cut fish cakes into strips
- Mince garlic
- Heat oil in large pot
- Add gochujang and cook for 1 minute
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds
- Add water and bring to boil
- Add rice cakes and fish cakes
- Add sugar and soy sauce
- Cook for 8-10 minutes until rice cakes are soft
- Slice green onions
- Top with green onions and sesame seeds
- Serve hot
