Turkish Meatballs (Köfte)

Ingredients
- 500 g ground lamb
- 2 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 60 g bread crumbs
- 30 g parsley
- 1 whole red pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 300 ml tomato sauce
- 300 ml beef broth
Instructions
- Finely chop onion, garlic, and red pepper
- Combine ground lamb with chopped vegetables, bread crumbs, and parsley
- Add cumin, salt, and pepper, mix well
- Form into 24-30 small balls
- Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- Brown meatballs on all sides, about 8-10 minutes total
- Mix tomato sauce and beef broth, pour over meatballs
- Simmer covered for 20-25 minutes until cooked through
- Serve with rice pilaf and fresh vegetables
