Ingredients
- Ground pork: 200g
- Light soy sauce: 1 tbsp
- Shaoxing wine: 1 tsp optional
- Sesame oil: ½ tsp
- White pepper: ¼ tsp
- Sugar: ½ tsp
- Scallion, finely minced: 1-2 tbsp
- Ginger, finely minced: 1 tsp
- Square wonton wrappers: 20-25
- Chicken stock: 4-5 cups
- Salt: to taste
- Sesame oil: ½ tsp for broth
- Scallions for serving
Instructions
- Mix all filling ingredients until sticky and cohesive
- Place small teaspoon of filling in each wrapper, moisten edges
- Fold and seal in triangle or traditional boat shape
- Bring large pot of water to boil, gently cook wontons 3-5 minutes until they float
- Heat chicken stock, season with salt, white pepper, and sesame oil
- Divide cooked wontons into bowls
- Ladle hot broth over wontons
- Garnish with scallions
